PCOS has a new name. In this episode, hosts Shahrazad Saouid and Ishaani Sheth explain what polycystic ovary syndrome actually is, how it affects the body, and why the international consensus has renamed it PMOS, or polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome. The new name describes a whole-body metabolic condition rather than ovarian cysts that aren’t always present.
